General Info

One of the oldest schools in Fairfield, Stratfield School was built in the 1920s. While subsequent updates have modernized its facilities, the school maintains a strong feeling of history and community.

Arrivals
For arrival, please do not use the Melville Avenue drop off.  All students who are being dropped off by car should be dropped off utilizing our Kiss and Go Lane only.  This is the lane on the black top. Parents should not get out of their cars.  We will have plenty of staff to assist students to their locations. We also encourage parents to use this lane and not park in the lot, as we will need to maintain social distancing and if there are many parents on the sidewalk it will present a safety issue. We know this will create traffic, but we will be quickly escorting students out of their cars so please be sure students have their masks on and are ready to depart when you pull up. Again, we ask that parents do not get out of the car in this lane. This will help the line move faster.

If your child is a walker, please be sure to walk them and bring them to the main entrance. We ask that parents and students are masked. We will have staff to direct your child to the appropriate location.

Pick Up Locations

All pick-up locations are in the back of the school. You will need to park your car in the lot or the street and meet your teacher in this location at dismissal. Please be sure to wear a mask and social distance. The teacher will need to see a parent in order to dismiss. The kiss and go lane will not be in effect for dismissals, only arrivals. Please bear with us as this process will take a few days to refine and we will be taking it slow at first to work out any kinks and ensure the safety of all students.

School Policy Reminders

  • All parents/visitors must stop at the office for a pass. Any items dropped off for your children must be brought to the office or placed on the Oops Cart outside the main doors.

  • Please do not call the office after 3:00 p.m. for changes in dismissal. It is often too busy for the staff to locate classes in time to make a change in dismissal.

  • For Health and Safety Reasons, we ask parents to please not bring dogs on school grounds.
