We're wishing everyone a wonderful first week of school. As we kick off the year together, we're so excited for all that is in store for our kiddos and our community.
You'll find a couple of reminders below to help you navigate the next few weeks.
If you're able to, join us on Tuesday morning for "Tears and Cheers" – a quick hello and a coffee on the front lawn (Melville Street side) at 9 am before heading on to the rest of your day. For those parents and caregivers who will be deep into a workday by then, we'll look forward to seeing you for a hello at Open House on September 9th at 6:30 pm.
Keep an eye out for the Walkathon Spiritwear Form coming in backpack mail on Tuesday morning. The Walkathon is one of our PTA's largest fundraisers, and we're bringing back the beloved (free) Walkathon tee! These tees are worn throughout the year at the Walkathon, in school assemblies, and on field trips. Make sure to return that form as instructed so we can account for the correct size for your child/children.
An extra big welcome to you if your kids are coming to Stratfield for the very first time, especially from another elementary school. Let us know how we (all of your fellow parents who make up the PTA) can help you get settled in. Keep an eye out for information on our New Family Buddy Program – we'll be pairing new families in grades 1-5 with a "buddy" family to help navigate the first months at SES.
Lastly, if/when you decide to follow Stratfield's Instagram account, be sure to DM us with your child's grade/name so we can accept your follow request.
