3rd-5th Graders: Join the Stratfield Parade of States!

Dear 3rd-5th Grade Parents,

Each year, Stratfield proudly marches in the Town’s Memorial Day Parade—a long-standing school tradition and a true honor for our community. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence!

If you're new to the tradition, here’s what makes it so special:
Students carry red, white, and blue cutouts representing all 50 states along the 1-mile parade route. At 5 key moments, we “Make the Map”—assembling the pieces into a giant map of the United States, with a final timed stop in front of the grandstand. It’s fast-paced, high-energy, and a crowd favorite!

We march. We chant. We build the map—and we have a blast doing it.
